This guide is a summary of the rules using the space<\/a> and contains some practical instructions.<\/p>\n

Applying for Key Membership<\/h3>\n

If you are not yet a member, fill out the membership application<\/a>. If you are already a member, tick the box \u201cI am already a member, I want to change my membership class.\u201d<\/p>\n

We ask that members applying for a key first introduce themselves to the board; once that\u2019s done, your key can be activated. You can introduce yourself during our open-door club evenings.<\/p>\n

When your key is activated, you\u2019ll gain access to the electronic locking system<\/a>. If you cannot or prefer not to use it, you can request phone-call opening instead.<\/p>\n

General Use of the Space<\/h3>\n

Key members have the right to access the club space 24\/7, unless the board has explicitly prohibited its use. You must still follow all the rules that apply to regular members, including respecting the quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00.<\/p>\n

Outside of club evenings, key members decide who may stay in the space. No one is guaranteed entry \u2014 even members can be refused. Key members may also ask non-key members to leave, which is especially important if you are the last person exiting the space.<\/p>\n

With your member key<\/a> you can only open the main door\u2014arrive at the front of Building O. The doors remain unlocked for 30 seconds after you initiate an open request.<\/p>\n

After entering, you have one minute to register your presence. Go to the club room and set the presence switch to \u201cpresent.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you want to officially start a club evening or let people in, set the switch to \u201copen.\u201d You may toggle between \u201cpresent\u201d and \u201copen\u201d as needed.<\/p>\n
