The main activity at Hacklab is the club evening, or “Kerhoilta” (kerho – club, ilta – evening), which takes place every Tuesday and Saturday. This is when members who don’t have a key membership can come to do what they choose, such as work on their own projects or hang out. Saturdays also feature sauna.
Community meetings (yhteisömiitti)
The last tuesday of every month we have a community meeting, or “Yhteisömiitti” (yhteisö – community, miitti – meeting), where we gather to discuss whatever we want, for example planning new events or new things we want to acquire.
Repair Café
Along with a group of volunteers, Hacklab organises Repair Café, an event open to everyone where people can get help with repairing broken items. Read more about it here.
Trading Card Games
Some of Hacklab’s members are enthusiastic about trading card games, specifically Magic: The Gathering and Flesh and Blood. They host weekly casual game nights every Thursday, called “TCG Thursday” which are open to all, not just Hacklab’s members. See this blog post for more information. Sometimes we also organise tournaments!
